Body and landscape merging (without Photoshop)

What happens when the body becomes part of the landscape?

Arno Rafael Minkkinen, american East Coast photographer, spent  his last 40 years creating surreal portraits in which his body becomes an element of the surrounding landscape.

The most astonishing thing about these extraordinary compositions is that they’re all real. Impressive, given the fact that many photos capture him laying on the ground or covered beneath the snow. Minkkinen is proud to say that he didn’t use Photoshop for his creations.

Some of my pictures might look simple, but in reality they can test the limits of what a human body is capable of or willing to risk,” writes on his website. “I began decades before Photoshop was invented. What you see happening in the frame of my image happened inside the viewfinder of my camera.”
